King Khalid University ardently embraces the role of the Arabic language as a medium for intercultural communication and dialogue among civilizations—a vision deeply esteemed and promoted by the country's sovereign, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, may God safeguard him. In actualizing this vision, he inaugurated the establishment of the King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language, an institution committed to proliferating the Arabic language and bolstering its local and international stature. In line with this mission, King Khalid University established the Unit for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers in 1438 AH, with the following objectives:


•    Teach Arabic and share its rich culture with non-native speakers.
•    Foster a spirit of global collaboration through the exchange of scholarships with universities worldwide, thereby attracting academically outstanding students to enhance diversity and bolster scientific research.
•    Organize bespoke training courses designed to promote the Arabic language, catering to the unique needs of our diverse audience.
•    Develop educational programs meticulously tailored to meet the requirements and aspirations of our students.
•    Cultivate scientific and cultural partnerships with renowned educational institutions and academic entities across the globe.
•    Acquaint our international students with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, allowing them to witness firsthand its remarkable strides in scientific, economic, political, social, and health advancements.

Programs Offered by the Unit:

•    A two-year Arabic language program designed for non-native speakers, divided into six comprehensive semesters.
•    Arabic Language Teacher Training Program for Non-native Speakers: This is a one academic year program.
•    Language Proficiency Program: The duration can be one, two, or four semesters, depending on the student's proficiency level.
•    Distance Learning Language Proficiency Program: This program spans one academic year.
•    Short, Fixed-Term Courses: These courses can last for a month, six weeks, or a semester, tailored to the applicant's needs and proficiency levels.
•    Intensive Preparation Courses for the Standard Arabic Language Test for Non-native Speakers.
